Project Description

Chad Fisher Construction has provided construction services for Sakata Seed (formerly Alf Christianson Seed) for over 30 years as their prime contractor for their facilities in Skagit County and in Eastern Washington.

CFC was contracted to build the new 9,000 square foot Sakata Vista project, a pre-engineered metal building for a new pathology lab and headhouse. Within the metal building included various rooms for Sakata’s team to successfully conduct their work, such as 3 propagation chambers, 12 growth chambers, a new laboratory room, a seed vault with a gas suppression system and various office spaces.

Attached directly to the metal building is a 1,860 square foot greenhouse and adjacent to the pathology lab there are 21,600 square feet of greenhouses that were constructed.

This site was developed for future expansion of an additional 51,840 square feet of greenhouses.

This project was completed under budget and ahead of schedule.
