Medical Facility Construction

Medical Facilities Construction - Mount Vernon Peridonics - Chad Fisher Construction

Medical Facility Construction operates in a world of its own when it comes to the construction industry. Today, medical facilities need to make sure that all their healthcare buildings are constructed in a way that meets their needs as well as the needs of their patients.

About Medical Facility Construction

With the rapid development of technology, and the demand for expanding services, medical facility construction techniques and requirements changes regularly. At Chad Fisher Construction, we are experts when it comes to accommodating the needs of our clients, while providing expert advice and guidance based on our extensive experience in medical construction.

Design and Layout

Every medical facility is unique in how it operates and what it needs to include. Although there may be general healthcare facilities that help treat a range of ailments, each of these medical facilities has specific requirements and procedures to follow.

So when planning and prepping a medical facility, it’s crucial to remember that each design and layout element must be deliberate.

It is important to consider how the design and layout bring value to the facility and helps it reach its full potential. This includes ensuring that there is good flow so that healthcare workers and patients can get where they need to go swiftly.

Medical Building Regulatory Standards

It is vital that medical facilities meet medical building regulatory standards. Every state has certain regulations or standards that a medical facility has to follow.

Because these buildings are so technical and specific, it is important to comply with these standards. Moreover, it’s important to incorporate resilience planning in medical facility construction to prepare for any unexpected events.

Flow

As healing psychology grows, it changes our understanding of the optimal layout for a medical facility. Recent studies have revealed that our environment greatly impacts us, psychologically and physically. Keeping this in mind, it is so important to develop a medical facility that caters to the patients’ healing.

A principle that works well is flow. If there is a flow and rhythm developed within the facility, it not only helps create a healthy environment, but it helps doctors and nurses work more effectively.

Technology

Healthcare has come a long way since Florence Nightingale’s days. This includes the technology we use. Medical facilities are moving with the times by becoming more digital.

This is important to keep in mind when constructing the medical facility so that technology can be incorporated with no hassle. This also minimizes stress and potential problems in the running of the medical facility.

This walk-in clinic contracted us to help relocate exam rooms and update the reception/waiting area.

The clinic was still in operation whilst we were making the needed changes. Therefore, cleanliness became a key aspect of the Island Hospital Walk-In Clinic. The new finishes that you can see in the clinic are carpet tile, luxury vinyl tile, sheet tile, and suspended ceilings and paint.

Chad Fisher Construction has a long-term working relationship with them and we have worked closely on several projects. However, in the most recent project, we remodeled the entire facility. We worked around the clock to ensure that Cascadia Eye’s operations kept on running as usual.

Mount Vernon Periodontics

Mount Vernon Periodontics hired Chad Fisher Construction to build their brand new office building.

For this building, we built a wood-framed structure on a concrete foundation. We finished it off with metal panel, board and batten siding, brick and stone veneer, storefront glazing, and Hardie Plank lap siding. We completed the project under budget and within the tight schedule so that the clinic could operate by the desired date.

Benson Medical Group
