Project Description

Coastline Equipment hired Chad Fisher Construction to replace all the siding, trim, gutters, building insulation, and wall scrim on their primary building at their Bellingham facility. While a cosmetic facelift was the main objective of the project, CFC was able to address temperature conditioning inefficiencies by replacing the original 2” ‘bag and sag’ style insulation with ‘full fill’ 8” building insulation. Coastline Equipment was already in the process of adding a new conference room on the north side of the building when we arrived, where we added 6 new widows that mirrored the other end of the front of the building adding both function and aesthetic appeal. Additionally, while we worked our way around the building, we were able to cover any wall penetrations that have since been rendered obsolete. Primac Electric and Coastline’s preferred mechanical contractor were on call to come help us with these alterations as we got to these areas.

Outside of replacing the original siding to the entirety of the building, we worked with Hytech Roofing to add an architectural detail to the street side of the building which included an alternate siding ribbon at the bottom 4’ of the wall as well as an awning and trim detail to showcase and define the front entrance. We also provided structural and electrical accommodations for the addition of a new storefront sign. Not only did the curb appeal of the exterior of the building drastically improve, the new vinyl scrim inside of the building dramatically brightened and cleaned up their fabrication space. Our onsite team was in daily communication with Coastline as we navigated aesthetic and functional details big and small to provide our customer with a product that both parties can be proud of.
