Skagit Valley Herald Demo
Project Description
Chad Fisher Construction was contracted to clear debris and material from the old Skagit Valley Herald building on College Way in Mount Vernon Washington. This structure had sat vacant for several years and had become a nuisance to the surrounding properties and community due to the occupation of homeless/transient parties.
The scope of work included terminating all utility connections, removal of bio-hazardous materials, asbestos roofing and debris left from homeless encampment. Once the building was cleared, the building was demolished, and remnant material was either hauled to a concrete, steel and wood recycler or the dump.
The remaining improvements left on site was the asphalt paving and slab on grade.
This project was delivered on-time and under budget.
