Chad Fisher and family has been building a better life and future for their family and the community at large for generations. After helping his father build one of the leading construction firms in the Northwest, Chad pursued his own dream. In 2010, Chad opened Chad Fisher Construction (CFC) and began working alongside the next generation of Fishers, his two sons, Dan and Duke.

Chad Fisher has dedicated his life to the construction industry, a passion sparked by working alongside his father, who taught him the values of hard work, honesty, and integrity. With 39 years of experience and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Chad fulfilled his dream by founding Chad Fisher Construction in 2010, working with his two sons, Dan and Duke. Chad’s commitment to client relationships has brought back customers he worked with decades ago, while his sons have earned trust from both returning and new clients. His leadership and dedication to quality have made the company a respected name in the region.

Dan Fisher

Owner

Dan Fisher has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, beginning at 16 as an equipment operator for his father. His passion for the field led him to earn a degree in Business and Construction Management from Washington State University. After time in the equipment rental industry, he joined Chad Fisher Construction in 2010. Dan excels in project planning, budgeting, and execution, ensuring every job meets the Fisher “Signature Quality.” Known for solving complex challenges and meeting tight schedules, Dan also values building strong, lasting relationships with clients. His greatest reward is helping clients bring their visions to life.

Duke Fisher

Owner

Duke Fisher has 16 years of construction experience, starting as a teenager working with his father. He began as an intern project engineer, equipment operator, and craft worker before earning a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Washington State University. He later managed projects at Dick Anderson Construction before returning to Skagit Valley in 2011 to join Chad Fisher Construction. Duke’s background includes heavy civil, commercial, high-end residential, and property development. Known for solving complex challenges, he takes pride in collaborating with teams and delivering projects that exceed client expectations.

Shelby Vanderpool

Civil

Shelby moved from Arizona to Washington at age 10 and graduated from La Conner High School in 2002. He continued his education and football career at MidAmerica Nazarene University in Kansas, where he started as a defensive end. In 2005, Shelby entered the construction industry, working his way through every aspect of heavy civil construction. For the past eight years, he has been a superintendent, managing large-scale commercial and civil projects across Western Washington. Shelby values safety, honesty, transparency, and strong relationships. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his three children.

Geoff ‘Red’ Needham

Civil

Geoff “Red” is a lifelong Skagit Valley resident who began his civil construction career in 1994. Over the years, he has completed a wide range of projects, including utility installations, housing developments, roadways, drainage systems, detention ponds, commercial and industrial site improvements, freeway construction, and more. A master equipment operator, Red leads an experienced, dedicated crew and is known for his efficiency, strategic planning, and attention to detail. He takes great pride in delivering high-quality results and is a trusted leader at CFC. Outside of work, Red enjoys sprint car racing and has a long-standing passion for hunting.
Harmen Dejong

CFO

Originally from a Western Washington dairy family, Harmen earned his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Calvin University in Grand Rapids, MI. His career includes financial consulting for small to medium-sized businesses and nonprofits in real estate, retail, education, health care, and construction. At Chad Fisher Construction, Harmen brings valuable insight, supporting the company’s financial operations with precision and care. He is also actively involved in local charities and nonprofit organizations, showing his strong commitment to both community and professional excellence.
Keith Russell

Project Manager

Keith was born and raised locally and graduated from SWHS. He continued his education at Pacific Lutheran University, where he earned his Bachelors in Business Administration. He began his construction career shortly after college and has over 18 years of experience in the industry. Over the last 12 years, Keith has been a project manager on projects all across the United States. He takes pride in honesty, hard work and building lasting relationships. Outside of work, Keith enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children, all of which are active in sports and loves anything outdoors.
Brian Jones

Project Manager

Brian brings over 25 years of experience in construction management and architectural design. His projects include commercial construction, tenant improvements, food processing facilities, retail spaces, grocery design, medical and dental clinics, and medical imaging installations. He holds a degree in Architecture with a minor in Art from the University of Idaho, strengthening CFC’s Design Build Team. Known for his client-first approach, Brian excels at navigating challenges while building trust. Outside of work, he enjoys camping, home remodeling, and helping his wife with their hobby farm.
Ian Gibbs

Project Manager

Ian’s construction career began in concrete and masonry during college summers. After graduating from the University of Washington, he ran his own stone masonry business in Whatcom County for nearly a decade. In 2013, Ian joined Chad Fisher Construction to expand his knowledge of commercial construction beyond his trade. Starting as a carpenter, then superintendent, he is now a project manager. Ian values the variety and challenges each project brings and sees every day as a chance to succeed. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his wife and children and pursuing game in the field, forest, or stream.
Ashleigh Johnson

Project Admin

Ashleigh was born and raised in Western Washington. After graduating from Ferndale High School, she studied accounting at Western Washington University. When given the opportunity to explore project coordination, she discovered her passion for managing and organizing key aspects of a project to ensure its success from start to finish. With a strong family background in construction, Ashleigh is proud to continue her career in the industry by joining the team at Chad Fisher Construction. Outside of work, Ashleigh races Sprint cars on the weekends, combining her love for speed with her competitive spirit.
Amber Walker

Office Admin

Amber has extensive knowledge and passion for the construction industry. She has over 10 years of experience in accounting and over 15 years of experience in concrete estimating/project management. Amber’s unique blend of construction knowledge and financial experience allows her to support our team and projects in diverse capacities. From payroll and accounting responsibilities to project and organizational support. Amber takes pride in helping deliver successful results. Outside of work, Amber enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, hiking, and being outdoors whenever she can.
Mike Houser

Shop Manager

Mike was born in Central Pennsylvania and moved to Skagit Valley at 8 years old with his family. He spent 21 years printing newspapers before deciding to switch careers into construction. Mike has a strong mechanical background and can diagnose and fix just about anything you put in front of him. Mike joined the CFC team in 2021, starting in the field then transitioned to our shop as a fleet vehicle and equipment mechanic.
