Hexcel Phase 2 Expansion
Project Description
Hexcel Corporation is a vertically integrated worldwide manufacturer of tooling and finished aircraft structures with plants located around the globe. Hexcel’s Burlington plant manufactures Engineered Core components from metallic and non-metallic honeycomb. Customers are offered a broad range of capabilities in HexWeb® honeycomb processing. These include: 5-axis NC Machining, sawing, slotting, chamfering, simple and complex core forming, splicing, stabilizing, potting, bonding and curing.
After completing phase one, Chad Fisher Construction broke ground on phase two of the expansion for Hexcel Corporation. The additional space includes an 81,000 square foot warehouse used to house a large autoclave, a 9,000 square foot ISO Level 8 Clean Room and a 2,200 square foot freezer for material storage. The facility also accommodates new offices, an employee break room and a climate-controlled IT room.
The Hexcel Corporation project was constructed in under a year and met the customer's requirements to be completed prior to their open house.
