Project Description

Chad Fisher Construction built a new 3,750-square-foot covered play pavilion for Immaculate Conception Regional School in Mount Vernon, Washington, replacing a former 2,000-square-foot storage and garage building. The St. Michael the Archangel play pavilion gives students a sheltered place to play and gather year-round, whatever the weather.

Designed by Underwood and Associates to match the architectural style of the existing campus buildings, the pavilion is partially enclosed on two sides to keep children safely within designated play areas while staying open and bright toward the inner recreation spaces.

The project was completed for the Corporation of the Catholic Archbishop of Seattle, with Dan Fisher as Project Manager and Doug Thompson as Superintendent, from initial demolition through final handover. Specialty partners included Lakeside Industries (surfacing), Carlson Steelworks (enclosures), Langco (concrete) and R&D Masonry (brickwork).
